This is an article I found on Hello Beautiful,

Keep in mind this list of rules to help you conquer white and keep in mind you need to dress it up preferably with I Do Diva's Jewelry!

Here are a list of rules to help you conquer white after Labor Day:
5. Stay away from lightweight fabrics. Fabrics like white linen are designed to shade the skin from direct contact with the sun, while allowing for ventilation in warm weather.  Such fabrics serve both a practical and fashionable purposes during the summer,  but are totally inappropriate for the cooler months.
4. Avoid wearing white from head to toe after labor day. While your all white outfit looked fresh and summary as you basked in the June sun, it may very well give you the opposite effect in December.  Avoid appearing white washed by limiting yourself.  After all, there’s nothing cute about blending in with the snow! Try mixing it up; pair that white shirt with dark pants to balance your look.
3. Try off-white hues. You can still achieve the same bright glory by using similar tones.  A light cream colored coat will provide the same effect in a more subtle way.
2. Merchandise it up! Adding accessories to your winter white can help to acclimate it.  An off-white blazer with a heavy statement belt will make it look current, and not like you are still wearing your summer clothes in the fall.
1. Wear your winter-white with confidence! Learn the rules for pulling off the look and then Rock It Out!  After all, you have to master the rules before you can break them.

A Memory for a Lifetime!

Ladies check out this fabulous idea from the Daily Basics Blog. I just  had to share it with you!

Bridal  Bouquets and Boutonnieres

A Memory for a Lifetime

Who would have thunk that all those odd pieces of costume jewelry stuck away in the attic could become the memory of a lifetime for the bride in your family.   Could passing this down from bride to bride start a family tradition?  Yup, wouldn’t that be totally cool?
.
Designer, Amanda Heer, who uses vintage costume jewelry to create wedding bouquets, is your go-to-gal to create your new family tradition.

It all began one week-end ten years ago when everyone was wearing studded hairpins of every shape and design
.
The idea is simple:  The bride sends old jewelry or vintage pieces that are suppose to represent the times of her life such as old watches that no longer work, old girl scout pins, hair clips, your Mom’s pins from High School -  you name it, to Amanda.   If a bride doesn’t have any old vintage jewelry, she can ask her family and friends to hit the flea markets, ebay and vintage stores to choose pieces they feel best describes her.  They could be virtually anything.  When the pieces are all collected and sent to Amanda, she  weaves them together to include the bride’s colors, wedding style and theme.  On the day of, even fresh flowers can be interspersed amongst the jewels.

I think it's awesome to be able to make something so beautiful out of unworn jewelry!

Rejuvenate Your Closet

Hey Ladies ,

I often feel like a need a new outfit or new shoes to spice up my wardrobe but I recently found this article on Womenetrics and it made a lot of sense to me so I'm posting it to see if it helps you. You know, as much as we would like to we can't always buy a new outfit but we can :Rejuvenate our Closet!
Here's the Article, hope you like it : Rejuvenate your closet: Breathe new life into your closet with costume jewelry. You can utilize jewelry to revive your wardrobe’s tried-and- true favorites. Instead of buying a few new shirts to get out of your fashion rut, purchase unique neck art. An eye-catching necklace – like strands of vibrant turquoise stones or a bib necklace with chunky baubles – will add interest to everything from a basic t-shirt to a neutral blouse to a LBD. That one piece of jewelry can be worn with a plethora of outfits rather than just a few times like a shirt. You’ll get bang for your buck.
Feel free to comment, am I the only one who liked this!

Clip on Earrings

Hey ladies,

I myself love clip on earrings I know sometimes they can be painful but they are absolutely beautiful. I found this article on Fashion Jewelry Blog and wanted to share it with you!

Clip on earrings that have a little sparkle and shine are the perfect accessory for nights out on the town or special events. It's easy to find a pair that will compliment the color and detail of your dress. Or, for something for more modern, try clip earrings in black rhinestones or black pearls.

If you have a colored dress you'd like to wear, focus on the setting of the clip on earrings. For example, if your cocktail dress is in the hue of purple or pink, add clip-on earrings with a silver setting for contrast. If your cocktail dress is in green or blue, add clip-on earrings in gold for a rich look that absolutely will not fail.

Since this season is all about mixing and matching, don't be afraid to wear girly clip on earrings with tougher fabrics like leather or suede. This contrast creates interest and is a welcome take on vintage inspired accessories. Try drop earrings or chandeliers clip on earrings for true romantic appeal.

The Cleaning Process Begins!

Ok Ladies,

So now we begin the cleaning process of our Costume Jewelry.  First, we begin by finding a well-lit area to work in and gather all your supplies that were metioned in one ofour previous posting. We then pour a small amount of cleaning solution into a small dish. Dip the soft bristled brush in to the cleaning solution and carefully scrub away any dirt from the jewelry. Do not soak the piece in the solution as it can weaken the adhesives and bonds. Carefully scrub the folds and bends in the pieces as dirt often gets trapped there. I suggest you use a wooden toothpick to remove any residue that cannot be reached with the brush. Next rinse carefully with clean water. Lastly  is the drying method.  Dry quickly and thoroughly. You may want to lay the piece on a soft cloth and dry it with the hairdryer on a cool air setting.
Return your piece to its storage in a dry place separate from other jewelry

Tips and Warnings!

Keeping  your costume jewelry pieces separated in a jewelry box so they don't hit one another is a good idea.  I strongly suggest a re-sealable plastic or satin bag.

Are Headbands for You ?

If you are new to the headband bandwagon, and you still think that they are too bold, you can start off with basic headbands. They are the ones which come in neutral colors like shades of white, black, gray and brown. It’s easy to wear them with ANY dress code. For example, a simple black headband could go well with casual wear, business casual, smart casual, beach wear, sports wear and utility wear. For the dressier events, a satin gray headband also looks great. (Yes, even with pearls.)

Tips and Warnings!

Keep a piece of chalk in your jewelry box  to prevent both tarnishing and absorption of excess moisture. You'll be surprised how the chalk evaporates!

Caring for your jewelry continued

Removal of costume jewerly such as rings and bracelets prior to hand washing would also be a good preventive measure for longer-lasting wear of your jewelry

Choosing products to clean your costume jewerly

When choosing a cleaner you need to make sure that the cleaner doesn’t contain ammonia, vinegar, or any other acids or alcohols. Read the label and make sure you are using a cleaner safe for whatever material your costume jewelry is made from (silver, gold, brass, bronze, copper, chrome, stainless steel, aluminum, pearls, opals, marble and any gems.)
Don’t use soap and water, because most soaps will leave a residue on the metal and make the stones look dull. Windex can damage delicate stones and finishes. Vinegar is also harmful to the gemston

Lotion is a no-no!

Do not wear lotion around your neck, wrist or fingers after you've put your costume jewelry on ( it should be applied before then allowed to dry) it could ruin the finish on your necklaces, bracelets, or rings!

Part one for how to care for I Do Diva's Jewelry!

Do not spray any perfumes or hairsprays after you've put your jewelry on because, this will alter the finish on the piece.  It could also change colors or get ruined somehow, and you wouldn't want this for your new investment.

I Do Diva's Costume Jewlery Cleaning

If you wear your costume jewelry daily or very often, you may want to clean it weekly (optional). If you wear it only for special occasions, you will want to clean it either after each wearing or before putting it back into storage. When cleaning costume jewelry, the driest method is the safest method so use as little liquids as necessary to remove the dirt and build
